Inclusive growth
Inclusive growth has become a universally accepted concept for development since it was first proposed by the Asian Development Bank in 2007. It aims to achieve coordinated and sustainable economic and social development. It is a concept that advances equitable opportunities for economic participants to share the benefits of globalization, helps micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises as well as individuals to achieve growth, protects vulnerable groups, and liberalizes trade and investment.
China has made positive efforts to promote this concept and put it into practice. It is because of the choice of inclusive growth, a path that fits China's realities, that China has been able to maintain steady economic growth in recent years, in spite a sluggish world economy. In China, creating jobs is the fundamental approach to inclusive growth, widespread entrepreneurship and innovation are effective means to implement inclusive growth, and targeted poverty alleviation is a successful example of inclusive growth.
As China pursues inclusive growth, it does so to ensure that the Chinese people will live a better and decent life, and the country can look forward to more robust economic and social development.
