推动中华优秀传统文化创造性转化、创新性发展
习近平在党的十九大报告中提出，要“推动中华优秀传统文化创造性转化、创新性发展”，这句话为中国文化建设事业的发展指明了方向。所谓创造性转化，就是要按照时代特点和要求，对那些至今仍有借鉴价值的内涵和陈旧的表现形式加以改造，赋予其新的时代内涵和现代表达形式，激活其生命力。所谓创新性发展，就是要按照时代的新进步新进展，对中国优秀传统文化的内涵加以补充、拓展、完善，增强其影响力和感召力。创造性转化与创新性发展是一个紧密联系、不可分割的整体，却又各有侧重、有所区别。这一方针体现了中国共产党在新的历史条件下对文化发展规律的认识达到了新高度，必将对中华文化走向新辉煌发挥强有力的推动作用。
Promoting innovative transformation and development of traditional Chinese culture
In his report to the 19th CPC National Congress, Xi Jinping called for innovative transformation and development of traditional Chinese culture, pointing the way towards China's cultural development. Innovative transformation involves changing what may be dated but still has relevance today, and giving it new life to reflect today’s realities and needs. Innovative development means adding new concepts and ideas, expanding and improving what is considered quintessential, and broadening its reach and its appeal, to reflect new progress. Innovative transformation and development are interrelated. With different focuses, they constitute a continuum. These guidelines are based on the Party's new understanding of what drives cultural development under today’s new conditions, and will no doubt help propel Chinese culture to new heights.
