抗震救灾精神
2008年5月12日，一场突如其来的8.0级大地震，袭击了中国的四川汶川地区，这是新中国历史上破坏性最强、波及范围最广、救灾难度最大的一次地震。地震发生后，中国共产党团结带领全国军民，用世人称道的抗灾救灾的实际行动，奋勇夺取抗震救灾斗争重大胜利，凝聚起抗震救灾精神。这一精神的主要内涵包括：万众一心、众志成城，不畏艰险、百折不挠，以人为本、尊重科学。
The spirit of disaster relief
On May 12, 2008, an earthquake of a magnitude-8.0 hit Wenchuan, Sichuan Province. It was the deadliest in China for decades, affecting a wide area and posing the greatest difficulties in the response.
The CPC led the people and the army in an efficient rescue and relief operation, demonstrating a spirit that can be generalized as “the entire nation uniting as one, persevering in surmounting difficulties, putting people first, and acting in a planned and scientific way.”
