比林和平堆

比林和平堆是 20世纪 80年代由中核集团原子能院承担设计、中原公司承建的援阿项目，被国际原子能机构誉为“南南合作”的典范。作为阿尔及利亚最大的核设施和科研平台，比林和平堆肩负着发展和应用核技术的任务，在阿尔及利亚国内科技领域占有重要地位。由于比林和平堆及其辅助设施已运行多年，部分系统、部件、设备面临老化问题，需要进行适应性升级改造。2014年12月，中核集团中原公司与比林核研究中心正式签订了比林核研究中心一二期升级改造合同。 2021年7月，比林升级改造项目正式验收。

The Es-Salam Reactor at Birine 

Hailed by the IAEA as a model of South-South cooperation, the Es-Salam ("peace" in Arabic) research reactor, which was designed by the China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE) and undertaken by the China Zhongyuan Engineering Corporation, was built at the Birine Nuclear Research Center, Algeria in the 1980s. The largest nuclear facility and research platform in Algeria, the Es-Salam reactor has been used for nuclear technology development and application, and has played an important role in scientific research. Since some of its systems, components, equipment and other associated facilities were aging due to many years of operation, the China Zhongyuan Engineering Corporation and the Birine Nuclear Research Centre signed contracts to upgrade the reactor in December 2014. The upgrading project was accepted in July 2021.
