中国国际进口博览会

中国国际进口博览会,由中华人民共和国商务部、上海市人民政府主办,包括展会和论坛两个部分。展会即国家贸易投资综合展(简称国家展)和企业商业展(简称企业展),论坛即虹桥国际经贸论坛。中国国际进口博览会是世界上第一个以进口为主题的国家级展会,旨在坚定支持贸易自由化和经济全球化、主动向世界开放市场。

2017年5月,习近平在“一带一路”国际合作高峰论坛上宣布,中国将从2018年起举办中国国际进口博览会。2018年11月5日至10日,首届中国国际进口博览会在上海成功举办,共吸引172个国家、地区和国际组织参会,3600多家企业参展,超过40万名境内外采购商到会洽谈采购,累计意向成交578.3亿美元;2019年11月5日至10日,第二届中国国际进口博览会在上海成功举办;2020年11月5日至10日,中国在确保防疫安全前提下如期举办第三届中国国际进口博览会。

举办中国国际进口博览会是中国推动新一轮高水平对外开放的郑重宣誓,也是中国推动建设开放型世界经济、支持贸易自由化和经济全球化的实际行动。经过3年发展,中国国际进口博览会让展品变商品、让展商变投资商,交流创意和理念,联通中国和世界,成为国际采购、投资促进、人文交流、开放合作的重要平台,成为全球共享的国际公共产品。

China International Import Expo

China International Import Expo (CIIE) is hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the government of Shanghai city. It hosts country exhibitors and business exhibitors, as well as the Hongqiao International Economic Forum. As the world's first import expo held at national level, it is designed to support trade liberalization and economic globalization and open China's market wider to the rest of the world.

Xi Jinping announced, at the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation held in May 2017, that China would host the CIIE starting from 2018. The first CIIE was held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10, 2018. It involved 172 countries, regions and international organizations, and more than 3,600 enterprises attended the event. The expo attracted more than 400,000 domestic and overseas customers. Deals worth a total of US$57.8 billion were agreed.

Around the same time in 2019, the second CIIE was staged in Shanghai. The third CIIE was hosted from November 5 to 10, 2020 as scheduled, with appropriate epidemic control measures against Covid-19 in place.

This grand import fair demonstrates China's resolve to pursue a new round of high-level opening up. It was a concrete action to promote an open world economy and support free trade and economic globalization.

After three years, the CIIE has become an important platform for international purchasing, investment promotion, cultural exchanges and business cooperation. It turns exhibits into trade goods and participants into investors, promotes exchanges, and connects China and the rest of the world. It has grown into a public product to be shared by the whole world.
