能源革命
能源是人类文明进步的基础和动力，攸关国计民生和国家安全，关系人类生存和发展，对于促进经济社会发展、增进人民福祉至关重要。中国是世界上最大的能源生产国和消费国，拥有煤炭、电力、石油、天然气、新能源、可再生能源全面发展的能源供给体系。推动能源生产和消费革命是保障能源安全、促进人与自然和谐共生的治本之策。
2012年11月，中共十八大报告首次提出，推动能源生产和消费革命，确保国家能源安全。2014年6月，习近平主持召开中央财经领导小组第六次会议，明确提出中国要推动能源消费革命、能源供给革命、能源技术革命、能源体制革命，并全方位加强国际合作，实现开放条件下的能源安全。
在“四个革命、一个合作”能源安全新战略指引下，中国坚定不移推进能源革命，能源生产和利用方式发生重大变革，能源发展取得历史性成就。能源生产和消费结构不断优化，能源利用效率显著提高，生产生活用能条件明显改善，能源安全保障能力持续增强，为服务经济高质量发展、打赢脱贫攻坚战和全面建成小康社会提供了重要支撑。
中国将继续深入推进能源革命，加快构建清洁低碳、安全高效的能源体系，全面推进能源消费方式变革，建设多元清洁的能源供应体系，发挥科技创新第一动力作用，全面深化能源体制改革，全方位加强能源国际合作。中国将秉持人类命运共同体理念，继续与各国一道，深化全球能源治理合作，推动全球能源可持续发展，维护全球能源安全，努力实现更加普惠、包容、均衡、平等的发展，建设更加清洁、美丽、繁荣、宜居的世界。
Energy Revolution
Energy provides the power for human progress. It is of vital importance to people's wellbeing and state security, human survival and development, and economic and social progress.
China is the world's largest energy producer and consumer. It has built a comprehensive supply structure covering coal, electricity, petroleum, natural gas, new energy, and renewable energy. To carry out a revolution in energy production and consumption is key to guaranteeing energy security and achieving harmony between humanity and nature.
The idea of a revolution in energy production and consumption to ensure China's energy security first appeared in the report to the CPC's 18th National Congress in 2012. In June 2014, Xi Jinping chaired a meeting of the Central Leading Group on Financial and Economic Affairs, at which he pointed out that China needed to launch a revolution in energy supply, consumption, technology and market, increase international cooperation in all sectors, and ensure that opening up supports energy security.
Guided by this energy security strategy, China has promoted its energy revolution. As a result, major changes have taken place in energy production and utilization, and enormous progress has been made in energy development. The structure of energy production and consumption has been optimized, energy utilization efficiency has risen by a significant margin, and energy use has become more convenient for work and daily life. China's capacity to ensure energy security has been strengthened. All these have provided important support for high-quality economic development, victory in the battle against poverty, and the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects.
China will continue with its energy revolution, moving faster to build a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient energy system, change the pattern of energy consumption, and build a clean and diversified energy supply system. It will leverage innovation as the primary driver of development, further reform its energy system, and encourage international energy cooperation.
Embracing the vision of a community with a shared future for humanity, China will work with other countries to expand cooperation on global energy governance, promote sustainable development of global energy, and protect global energy security. This is part of its commitment to realizing more inclusive, balanced and equal development for all, and to building a clean, beautiful, prosperous and livable world.
