《敦煌学大辞典》
《敦煌学大辞典》是至今为止最全面、最权威的敦煌学专业大型工具书。本书第一版由中国敦煌吐鲁番学会、敦煌研究院与上海辞书出版社联合发起,由中国著名学者、北京大学季羡林教授担任主编,全国老中青三代专家学者100余人参与,历经13年编纂而成。2024年12月,《敦煌学大辞典》第二版正式问世。第二版图书由郝春文主编,敦煌学界近160位学者历时6年共同编纂而成,词条数量和图片数量均增添一倍。不仅增加了20世纪以来重要的敦煌学考古成果和 20世纪末以来重要的敦煌文献刊布与整理研究成果,还系统增加了现代科技在敦煌学研究与保护应用方面的词条和现当代重要的国内外敦煌学人物类词条,与敦煌古代历史相关的人、事、物类词条,以及第一版未收录的其他重要门类如碑铭赞、尊像画等。
该辞典是迄今为止海内外唯一一部以工具书形式,全方位展示20世纪至21世纪初敦煌学研究成果的大型辞典,首次系统、全面地对敦煌学进行总结,集中反映了中国敦煌学整体研究水平。
Dictionary of Dunhuang Studies
The Dictionary of Dunhuang Studies (Dunhuangxue Dacidian) is the most comprehensive, authoritative large reference work in the field of Dunhuang studies to date. Publication of the first edition was jointly undertaken by the Institute of Dunhuang and Turfan Studies of China, the Dunhuang Academy, and Shanghai Lexicographical Publishing House. It was edited by renowned Chinese scholar Prof. Ji Xianlin from Peking University and features participation from over 100 experts and scholars across the country. It took 13 years to complete the compilation of the book.
In December 2024, the Dictionary of Dunhuang Studies (2nd Edition) was officially published. Edited by Hao Chunwen and collaboratively compiled over six years by nearly 160 scholars in the field, this edition doubles the number of entries and illustrations compared to its predecessor. The new edition not only incorporates major archaeological discoveries in Dunhuang studies since the 20th Century and critical publications and researches on Dunhuang manuscripts since the late 20th Century, but also systematically expands entries on modern technologies applied in Dunhuang research and conservation as well as content on prominent international and contemporary Dunhuang scholars, historical figures, events, and artifacts related to ancient Dunhuang. Stelae eulogies and sacred deity paintings are among previously excluded but important categories.
As the only comprehensive reference work worldwide to present Dunhuang scholarship from the 20th to the early 21st centuries, this dictionary marks the first systematic and comprehensive summation of Dunhuang studies, reflecting China's leading research capabilities in the field.
