建成文化强国
文化是一个国家、一个民族的灵魂。中共十八大以来，中共中央把文化建设摆在治国理政的突出位置，不断深化对文化建设的规律性认识，推动文化传承发展，社会主义文化强国建设迈出坚实步伐。中共二十大报告将“建成文化强国”列入2035年中国发展的总体目标，要求“围绕举旗帜、聚民心、育新人、兴文化、展形象建设社会主义文化强国”，为推进社会主义文化强国建设指明了方向。
要建成文化强国，必须坚持将马克思主义基本原理同中华优秀传统文化相结合，坚持中国特色社会主义文化发展道路，增强文化自信，建设具有强大凝聚力和引领力的社会主义意识形态，践行社会主义核心价值观，发展壮大文化事业和文化产业，提高全社会文明程度，不断增强实现中华民族伟大复兴的精神力量。
Becoming a cultural powerhouse
A nation's culture is its soul. Since 2012, the central Party leadership has prioritized cultural development in national governance, continually deepened its understanding of the laws underlying cultural development, and promoted cultural preservation and development, making solid progress in turning China into a country with a strong socialist culture.
The report to the 20th CPC National Congress set building a leading country in culture as one of China's overall development objectives for the year 2035. The report stated, "In our efforts to turn China into a country with a strong socialist culture, we will focus on upholding socialism with Chinese characteristics, rallying public support, fostering a new generation of young people, developing Chinese culture, and better presenting China to the world."
To this end, China will continue to integrate the basic tenets of Marxism with the best of traditional Chinese culture, develop a socialist culture with Chinese characteristics, be more confident in its culture, develop a socialist ideology with a strong power to unite and inspire the people, apply the core socialist values, develop cultural programs and the cultural sector, and promote civility throughout society, so as to provide greater intellectual support for national rejuvenation.
