建成科技强国
科技是国之利器,国家赖之以强,企业赖之以赢,人民生活赖之以好。中共十八大以来,中共中央将科技创新视为强国兴国的重要推动力,大力实施创新驱动发展战略。中国在科技创新方面取得举世瞩目的成就,成功进入创新型国家行列,为经济社会发展提供了有力支撑。中共十九届五中全会强调要加快建设科技强国,中共二十大报告则进一步明确了到2035年“建成科技强国”的远景目标。
科技是全面建设社会主义现代化国家的基础性、战略性支撑之一,科技水平则代表着一国的综合实力。能否建成科技强国、实现高水平科技自立自强,关乎党和人民事业全局。要确保如期实现建成科技强国的宏伟目标,必须坚持创新在国家现代化建设全局中的核心地位,不断推进科技体制改革,完善科技创新体系;必须加快实施创新驱动发展战略,加强原创性、引领性科技攻关,打赢关键核心技术攻坚战,激发各类人才创新活力。
Becoming a country strong in science and technology
Science and technology are the bedrock upon which a country relies to become strong, enterprises to achieve success, and people to improve their lives.
Since 2012, the central Party leadership has seen scientific and technological innovation as an important driver for strengthening the country and rejuvenating the nation and fully implemented the innovation-driven development strategy. The country has joined the ranks of the world's innovators with impressive advances in science and technology, which have provided powerful support for economic and social development.
The 19th CPC Central Committee decided, at its fifth plenary session, to quicken China's pace toward a global leader in science and technology, and the report to the 20th CPC National Congress set the year 2035 for realizing this goal.
Science and technology provide a basic and strategic pillar for building a modern socialist country in all respects. They represent a country's composite strength. China's success hinges on whether it can become a self-reliant global leader in science and technology.
To reach this goal, China must have innovation play a key role in modernization. It needs to advance structural scientific and technological reform, improve the systems for scientific and technological innovation, accelerate the implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy, devote more effort to original and pioneering research, make breakthroughs in core technologies in key fields, and inspire the innovation vitality of talented people in all fields.
