中国人民和中华民族从近代以后的深重苦难走向伟大复兴的光明前景，从来就没有教科书，更没有现成答案。中国式现代化是中国共产党领导全国各族人民在长期探索和实践中历经千辛万苦、付出巨大代价取得的重大成果，既有各国现代化的共同特征，更有基于自己国情的鲜明特色，创造了人类文明新形态。新中国成立特别是改革开放以来，中国用几十年时间走完西方发达国家几百年走过的工业化历程，创造了经济快速发展和社会长期稳定的奇迹，为中华民族伟大复兴开辟了广阔前景。实践证明，中国式现代化走得通、行得稳，是强国建设、民族复兴的唯一正确道路。
当前，世界之变、时代之变、历史之变正以前所未有的方式展开。一方面，和平、发展、合作、共赢的历史潮流不可阻挡，人心所向、大势所趋决定了人类前途终归光明。另一方面，恃强凌弱、巧取豪夺、零和博弈等霸权霸道霸凌行径危害深重，和平赤字、发展赤字、安全赤字、治理赤字加重，人类社会面临前所未有的挑战。中国坚定站在历史正确的一边、站在人类文明进步的一边，高举和平、发展、合作、共赢旗帜，在坚定维护世界和平与发展中谋求自身发展，又以自身发展更好维护世界和平与发展。
Outlook on history
The Chinese people and the Chinese nation have never been able to turn to an "instruction manual" or a ready-made solution as they fought to end the great sufferings endured since the advent of modern times and to move on toward the bright future of rejuvenation.
Chinese modernization is a significant outcome of the hardships and sacrifices made by the CPC and the Chinese people in their long years of effort. Since 1949, especially since the late 1970s, China has completed in a space of mere decades a process of industrialization that took the Western developed countries several centuries. This has resulted in two remarkable achievements – rapid economic development and long-term social stability – and boosted the prospects of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. China's experience has demonstrated that its path to modernization works well and that it is the right path for China to become a great country and achieve national rejuvenation.
Today, global, epoch-making, and historical changes are unfolding in ways like never before. On the one hand, the historical trend of peace, development, cooperation, and mutual benefit is unstoppable. The people's desire and the general trend of the times determine that the future of humanity will ultimately be bright. On the other hand, hegemonic, overbearing, and bullying acts such as callous abuse of the weak by the strong, grabbing and keeping by cheating and by force, and zero-sum games are exerting grave harm. The deficits in peace, development, security, and governance are increasing, and human society is facing unprecedented challenges. China will stand firmly on the right side of history and on the side of human progress. Dedicated to peace, development, cooperation, and mutual benefit, it will pursue its own development while firmly safeguarding world peace and development and make greater contributions to world peace and development with its own development.
