坚持以人民为中心的发展思想

坚持以人民为中心的发展思想，就是维护人民根本利益，增进民生福祉，不断实现发展为了人民、发展依靠人民、发展成果由人民共享，让现代化建设成果更多更公平惠及全体人民。

这一重大原则表明，中国式现代化不是少数人的现代化，而是着眼于最广大人民利益实现的现代化，是以全体人民为中心的全面发展的现代化。现代化道路最终能否走得通、行得稳，关键要看是否坚持以人民为中心。现代化不仅要看纸面上的指标数据，更要看人民的幸福安康。

中共二十届三中全会审议通过的《中共中央关于进一步全面深化改革 推进中国式现代化的决定》也提出，在发展中保障和改善民生是中国式现代化的重大任务。

Applying a people-centered development philosophy

This principle means that China must protect the people's fundamental interests, improve their wellbeing, and ensure that development is for the people and by the people and that its fruits are shared by the people, so that the achievements of modernization will benefit all the people fairly.

This principle shows that Chinese modernization will protect the interests of the majority, not those of the minority. It is modernization on all fronts with the people at the center. For a path to modernization to work and work well, it must put the people first. Modernization is about more than indicators and statistics on paper; it is about the delivery of a happy and peaceful life to the people.

In the resolution on further deepening reform comprehensively to advance Chinese modernization, adopted at its third plenary session in July 2024, the 20th Central Committee of the CPC also pointed out that guaranteeing and improving the people's wellbeing in the course of development is one of the major tasks of modernization.
