亚洲文化遗产保护联盟
亚洲文化遗产保护联盟是亚洲各国在自愿平等、互相尊重、互利共赢的基础上建立的政府间国际组织。这是中国主导创建的首个文化遗产领域政府间国际组织，也是目前亚洲区域内唯一一个文化遗产专门性国际组织。
亚洲是人类文明重要发祥地，孕育并保有着极其丰富的文化遗产。亚洲各国山河相连、人文相亲、命运相依，保护好传承好利用好亚洲文化遗产，是亚洲各国的共同责任。2019年5月，习近平在亚洲文明对话大会上倡议开展亚洲文化遗产保护行动。2021年10月，在亚洲文化遗产保护对话会上，亚洲27国共同发布《关于共同开展亚洲文化遗产保护行动的倡议》，中国等10国宣布共同发起成立“亚洲文化遗产保护联盟”，中国宣布设立亚洲文化遗产保护基金并启动“亚洲文化遗产保护青年大使”计划，从合作机制、可持续发展和能力建设等方面切实为推进亚洲文化遗产保护行动提供保障。2024年6月，亚洲文化遗产保护联盟理事会第二次会议决定亚洲文化遗产保护联盟由文化遗产国际合作机制转变为政府间国际组织。截至2024年11月，联盟成员国、观察员国、伙伴国总数达到20个。
Alliance for Cultural Heritage in Asia
This is an international organization in which countries participate on the basis of equality, mutual respect, and mutual benefit. It is the first inter-governmental organization established, with China as a major initiator, for protecting cultural heritage and to date the only international organization in Asia that is devoted to cultural heritage protection.
Asia is an important cradle of human civilizations, and it boasts a wealth of cultural heritage. Asian countries have close cultural ties and enjoy a shared future. It is their responsibility to preserve, develop, and utilize the local heritage.
At the CDAC in May 2019, Xi Jinping called for joint protection of Asian cultural heritage. At the Asian Dialogue for Cultural Heritage Conservation in October 2021, 27 Asian countries jointly released the Asian Initiative for Cultural Heritage Conservation, and China and other nine Asian countries initiated the Alliance for Cultural Heritage in Asia (ACHA). China announced that it would set up a foundation for the protection of Asian cultural heritage and launch a program called "young ambassadors for Asian cultural heritage protection". These would provide necessary support in terms of cooperation mechanism, sustainable development, and capacity building.
In June 2024, the second council meeting of ACHA decided to turn the organization from a mechanism for international cooperation on cultural heritage into an inter-governmental organization. By November 2024, the organization had 20 states as members, observers, or partners.
