世界中国学大会
世界中国学大会是中国学领域的国际学术盛会，旨在为全球中国学研究领域的学者、专家及各界人士提供一个交流与合作的平台。其前身是2004年起连续举办过九届的“世界中国学论坛”。截至2025年10月，世界中国学大会已举办两届。大会汇聚来自世界各地不同学科背景的知名学者，共同探讨中国的文化、经济、社会、政治等各个方面的发展与变化。大会议题涵盖从古代中国文明的传承到当代中国的崛起与挑战，从中国传统文化的价值到其在全球化时代的创新与发展等诸多领域。
举办世界中国学大会，一方面旨在促进中外学者之间的学术交流与对话——不同文化背景和学术传统的学者们在这里分享各自的研究成果和观点，相互启发、相互借鉴，为中国学研究开拓了新的视野和思路；另一方面也有助于向世界展示真实、立体、全面的中国——在交流过程中，外国学者能够更深入地了解中国的发展成就和面临的挑战，消除误解和偏见，增进对中国的理解和认同。
习近平在致世界中国学大会的贺信中指出，溯历史的源头才能理解现实的世界，循文化的根基才能辨识当今的中国，有文明的互鉴才能实现共同的进步。
世界中国学大会以高规格的学术阵容、广泛的议题设置和深远的影响力，成为全球中国学研究领域的重要标志和推动力量，为促进中外文化交流与合作、增进世界对中国的认识和理解作出积极贡献。
World Conference on China Studies
This grand academic gathering provides a platform for exchanges and cooperation among global scholars, experts, and other enthusiasts in China studies. Its predecessor was the World Forum on China Studies that had been held on nine occasions since 2004. Two world conferences had been held by October 2025.
The conferences have attracted heavyweights with different academic backgrounds from around the world to exchange views on changes and developments in China's culture, economy, society, and politics. The subjects of the parallel panels involved the development of the ancient Chinese civilization, the rise of contemporary China and the challenges it faces, and the value of traditional Chinese culture and its development against a backdrop of globalization.
On the one hand, the conference offers a platform for exchanges between Chinese and foreign scholars. Coming from different cultural backgrounds and academic traditions, they can share their views and research findings and inspire and learn from each other.
On the other hand, the conference may present an accurate, multidimensional, and panoramic image of China to overseas audience. By deepening foreign participants' understanding of China's achievements as well as the challenges it faces, it can help clear up misunderstandings and minimize biases.
In his congratulatory letter to the conference, Xi Jinping said that only by tracing the origins of history can one understand the reality of the current world, only by understanding the cultural foundations can one understand present-day China, and only through dialogue between civilizations can common progress be achieved.
With many luminaries delving into diverse topics, the conference boasts a strong academic background and a far-reaching influence. It has become an important part of China studies, contributing to cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and the rest of the world and increasing the world's understanding of China.
