文明对话国际日
2024年6月，联合国大会第78届会议通过了由中国提出的设立文明对话国际日决议草案，将6月10日设立为文明对话国际日，以提升国际社会对文明多样性价值的认知，促进文明间的平等对话和相互尊重，加强全球团结。
决议倡导尊重文明多样性，倡导不同文明间的平等对话和相互尊重，充分体现全球文明倡议的核心要义。决议明确所有文明成就都是人类社会的共同财富，突出强调文明对话对于维护世界和平、促进共同发展、增进人类福祉、实现共同进步的重要作用。
倡导和推动设立文明对话国际日，是中国落实全球文明倡议、构建人类命运共同体的一次具体实践。文明对话国际日的设立，将为不同文明间消除偏见误解、增进理解信任发挥重要作用。
International Day for Dialogue Among Civilizations
In June 2024, the 78th session of the UN General Assembly adopted a proposal by China and declared June 10 the International Day for Dialogue Among Civilizations, in order to raise awareness of the value of the diversity of civilizations and promote dialogue, mutual respect, tolerance and global solidarity in this regard.
The resolution echoed the GCI by underscoring the respect for civilizational diversity and equal dialogue and mutual respect among civilizations. It reaffirmed that civilizational achievements constitute the collective heritage of humankind and highlighted dialogue in maintaining global peace, advancing shared development, enhancing people's wellbeing, and achieving collective progress.
China's proposal of this special day is a positive move to implement the GCI and promote the building of a community with a shared future for humanity. The designation of the day is expected to help eliminate misunderstandings and increase trust among civilizations.
